Earthwatch Team Fuli-ing Around: Day 7 Academy Bay

The volunteers all enjoyed their day off, enthusiastically reporting back to us how many of each finch species (and other animal species) they had seen on their tours. It was back to work bright and and early today, and we had a busy morning with the mist nets!


One of the best parts about going to Academy Bay is you never know what the giant tortoises will be doing when you pass by them. We've seen them doing everything from sleeping to eating to copulating. Today, they were striking poses, as if they were showing off just for the volunteers.


On the way back,  some of the smaller things caught my eye...
